We have used a variety of noise-cancelling headphones over the years for our travel adventures. Here are our recommendations for the best noise-cancelling headphones for traveling.
The best noise-cancelilng headphones to improve your next travel experience.
Our top picks for noise-canceling headphones to quiet things down on planes and trains. Don’t expect cheap headphones from the airlines to provide any solitude.
Our top choice, the Bose 700. The best of the best. In our opinion, the #1 choice to minimize outside noise. These headphones are comfortable, have long battery life and are lightweight. We think these headphones look stylish and they are so light, you will barely notice them in your bag or over your ears.
A solid second: Bose Quiet Comfort 45
Time tested and slightly more affordable than the Bose 700s. Comfortable and still will make for a quiet plane ride. The battery life is solid and the controls on the headphones are easy to use for quick adjustments. The sound quality of these headphones is exceptional. The over-ear pads are larger than many over-ear models and we think the extra padding makes these some of the most comfortable headphones on the market. Great for longer trips.
Beats by Dre- for the coolest members on your tour. Comfortable with high-quality sound. Comparable price and quality to the Bose Quiet Comfort 45. They look nice and have good sound quality. If you are a fan of music with deep bass, these are the headphones for you. The carrying case is hard-shell and easy to store.
Bose Quiet Comfort in-ear earbuds. Compact design, lightweight and packed with an advanced chipset for high-quality sound. People either love or hate the look of these in their ears. The oval look certainly gets noticed and makes a clear statement: “Don’t bother talking to me because I definitely can’t hear you.”
Air Pods Pro 2nd Generation. A healthy battery life, comfortable and seamless technology. A classic. The noise-canceling technology is impressive for such a small package. Battery life will get you across the country but you don’t want to count on Airpods for longer international flights.
There are many other noise-canceling options on the market, but we hope this helps you narrow down your choices.
